Come On And…
Do You Even Exo?
Each level has 4 criteria to unlock. Just completing it, making silver time, making gold time and for completing it without losing any balls. There are a total of 54 standard levels to complete.
The Garden is the second area.
First time you will get a multiball is
Just work the ball back and forth. Try to keep the ball in the middle of the area with straight shots as it is very difficult to get your opposite hand to hit a ball that is close to the side walls.
You will need to get 2 multiballs going and once and keep all 6 going for at least one round.
This does not have to be all in one strike. Just with the same ball. First level with heavy balls is level 6.
Just complete the opening tutorial. Learn the controls and pot all the balls.
For the top menu select Players. Then pick a player and hit Y to download their DNA. This allows you to play against a AI version of the player.
Each games in Career mode offers you 3 stars to earn. Like Win the game, win with no fouls, pot a ball further than 160cm from the cue ball. Earn a total of 100 stars through all your games in career to earn the achievement. The stars only count if you win the match.
Accolades are found under My Profile, Accolades. Things like Pot 3 in a row and Pot a ball off the break. Some of these will be quite hard, like Win a game against a Legendary player or to End an opponents 3-game win steak. There are 89 different accolades to unlock.
These are not skill based luckily but XP based BUT unluckily the game levels you up very very slowly.
This is for your opponent to pocket the 8-ball illegally giving you the instant win.
Putting an opponent in snooker means to trap them behind one of your balls in such a way as they have no direct line on any of their remaining balls. The get out of a snooker is to legally pot one of your balls most likely via a bank shot.
This actually counts in Career against the AI. The first AI player in the Amateur 8-Ball is technically level 14 so beating him in the first game will get you the achievement.
This means to combo off the 1-Ball and pocket the 9-Ball. So pretty much win on the first shot with a combo.
Go to My Games, My League and set your rules. Then invite a friend and win the league.
You’ll get these two achievement upon finishing the opening sequence.
Easy. Just find some power rails and go back and forth while killing enemies.
Your second mission will be Amptastic! from Floyd. Which has you defending the Vat to get Amps. Complete the mission by grind the top area and shooting all the OD until time runs out and the achievement is yours.
This is for completing a story mission for getting a processor from Buck National.
Another story mission. Continue the game to unlock.
More Story. Next one that will unlock in the series.
Story. Get this after the Troop series of quests.
Mission for the Fargarthians.
Story related.
Keep playing.
This is for beating the main story and the final boss.
As soon as you can get to the Hero Menu you can go to Options, then Gameplay and click View Credits. Watch the whole things and the achievement is yours.
As soon as you get the ability to earn Style you can work on this. And you learn about Style in mission 1. To the side of Floyd in the opening Fort is a series of 4 fans. To keep the counter going you need to change fans but each of the 4 in a set count as 1 so just do some slight movement from side to side to keep your counter going. Once you hit 100 land on the ground and the achievement will unlock.
As you get kills and grind you earn badges. As soon as you get your first badge you will use it to unlock your first Overdrive. Two for one! Then keep remembering to go back in and upgrade your Overdrives.
After the processor mission you will have a second AMP mission. This will give you enough AMPs to have all 5 positions equipped at once. Just make sure to go into the Hero menu and equip them.
Once you get traps you can place them in the world. Your best bets are the Night missions with the vats. Place a damaged trap like the Blades near the barricades and then use the Springboard toward the trap. You’ll see a dashed white line to show that it will fling them towards the damage.
You can check the progress of your guns in the Hero menu and moving over the Character tab. Hover over a gun and on the right side you will see what level the gun in. Some require more experience than others.
There are 4 Forts. Floyd will unlock them as you go through the story mode. Each fort will have a mission to update the vats there. Just complete these 4 sides missions to unlock the achievement.
Kill kill and then kill some more. You probably won’t even be anywhere near 5,000 at the end of the story. But you’ll still have a ton of collectibles to find and the online to do. Most of this will comes with playing depending our your style. AMPs that help with Fire and the like help with the Let Me Count the Ways.
This is a series of 3 side quests you get from phone booths where you are collecting evidence and the doing a dead drop.
There are 4 factions. The Oxfords, the Troops, the Fargarthians and Las Catrinas. You need to do 1 quest per to unlock the achievements. These are outside of the missions you have to do for the story. For the clothes, when you go to Calista you have the option of seeing Outfits. This will show what items go with which factions.
Two Hat Jack will sell you maps for all of these if you have the Overdrive to spare. It isn’t cheap though. You can either go one collectible at a time or by district, either way there is a LOT of stuff to find.
This will be your first achievement. When you are attacking a zombie after a few hits a “A to Kill” will be displayed. When you press “A” your character will do a finishing move and kill the zombie. Then do it 100 more times. This gets harder with better weapons as you’ll start to just instant kill zombies without the opportunity to get a kill option.
These are cumulative. Just keep killing.
You unlock the ability to earn skills right after meeting Ramon for the first time on the first island. Use B to bring up menu and RT over to skills and unlock Caveman, which gives you the abilities to fire camps and torches. You’ll unlock the achievement and complete your objective.
Kovac will take you there after you get the Gas for Ramon.
After getting the Engine Starter from Andrew use it on the boat to repair it allowing you to go to La Sonada.
Head for a group of obviously 5 zombies and hit them and perform instant kills quickly. Best bets are safe zones since you need to clear out all the zombies and you will get flooded with zombies.
#1 – Los Riscos Island – Roman, there is a small higher area with a plant on a wood plank
#2 – La Vendida Island – Leaving the base to the right while learning Resting head straight up and Machete some bushes to find the plant.
So you want to unlock all the skills and get the full 1000gs in Styx: Master of Shadows? Well you need to complete every single side-objective and every single Insignia (Shadow, Mercy, Swiftness and Thief) and you will JUST have enough SP. So here is a little guide to getting all of the Insignias.
Your best bet is going to be doing 2 runs at each level.
Your first run is to get Shadow, Mercy and Swiftness. Get the levels done quickly with no alerts and no kills.
Your second run is to get Side Objectives, Relics, and the Tokens. A lot of the Side Objectives take precious time and doing them without alerts or kills can be anywhere from hard to impossible.
Found this YouTuber who is doing full runs getting all three Insignias.
Once unlocked, the Predator skill Omniscience (300 skill points), allows you to see all tokens and enemies even through walls. Here are some videos we’ve been working on showing the exact locations of all the Tokens. Work In Progress. We’ll try to get everything uploaded ASAP.
These all require you to earn enough SP to unlock them by completing objectives and earning insignias in missions. Then you can spend the SP on skills while at the hideout.
Skill KILL – then it’s the first ability, COVERED KILL. It costs 40 SP. Simply use RT to hug a wall, as a guard walks past you will get the option to use X to do a kill.
Skill KILL – then it’s the second ability, AERIAL KILL. It costs 60 SP. Then get above an enemy and jump towards them. While in the air hit X to perform a aerial kill.
Skill CLONING – then it’s the first ability, BIND. It’s costs 30 SP.
When you get close to a enemy as a clone you can press X to Bind them. Then switch to Styx and run over and kill the guard while he tries to wrestle your clone off.
Skill CLONING – then it’s the second ability, POUNCE
Spawn a clone and then have them enter a closet or chest. Then either wait for a guard to wander by on his own or alert him and lead him to your clone.
The 3rd ability in the Clone skill tree is an Advanced Smoke Bomb that will make this easier to get. Then round up 3 guards, set off the smoke bomb before they can kill your clone. That’s it. I thought you had to eliminate the guards but it unlocks right as you set off the smoke bomb.
All of these can be accomplished once you find a suitable spot by saving your game, doing the requirement once and then reloading and starting over. All of these will also of course unlock over the course of the game but you wouldn’t be reading an achievement guide if you didn’t want your achievements ASAP.
You should work on these 3 together. Make sure you have 2 Amber Vials and save the game near a guard. Summon a Clone with LT+A getting 1 create. Run the clone into a guard getting 1 death. Then drink 1 potion for Unquenched. Do that pattern once more, then reload.
Some flames can be extinguished just by walking up to them and pressing Y. You can also use the Sand item to extinguish from a distance. This is not something you need to worry about though. You will get near the entire 30 just in the opening mission if you makes sure to do it every chance you get. There are some flames that can not be extinguished.
Lots of doors in the Intro mission. If you really really really want this one bad just save before a door. Unlock and open it, reload, repeat, etc.
You will visually see if a guard has an item you can pickpocket. If they do get close and hit Y to grab it. You have to have room for the item to be able to grab it. Also, if you kill the guard first the item is destroyed.
Near the start of the second mission, Akenash’s Atrium, there is a guard going up and down some long stairs that has a Throwing Knife to pickpocket. He’s on the right side of the level right near a wooden platform you can hide under. Have one on you when you get here so you have room to pickpocket one. Save the game and then use it on him and another nearby guard. 1 Pickpocket and 2 Throwing Knife kills.
Only the Muffled Kills you get from sneaking up on an enemy and holding Y count for this achievement.
Throwing Knifes, Chandeliers, Muffled Kills. Whatever you want to use. Just make sure it adds up to 200.
Any open combat is considered a duel. Simply Parry until you get the Kill with X option.
All of these are for doing specific requirements at a specific time. We’ll tell you an easy place to do them. You just go there and do it!
Intro mission Reminiscence. Right after you get your dagger you will come out and face the World Tree. Climb up to the first beam and head out to the edge looking at the World Tree and a song will start. It’s about 2 minutes. Just wait out the song for the achievement to unlock.
Mission 1: Akenash’s Atrium, Section 1. You will be given a sub quest by your friend in the hideout to kill Godebert. You will find him on the way through the mission conveniently standing under a crate. Simply climb the sacks beside him and unfasten the crates. It will kill both Godebert and his friend giving you the achievement but since his friend also dies it will count against No Kills.
Mission 1: Akenash’s Atrium, Section 3. As you start to follow Ector you will go up some stairs. At the top is a food bag you can Poison. Then move slowly towards the 2 guards we are talking. When they finish talking one with path around and eat the food and after a bit drop dead giving you the achievement. Reload to a previous save if you are going for no kills.
First one I found was in mission 3, Deliverance in Section 3, Laboratories. You will come to a section that is most definitely a torture chamber. Save the game before engaging the enemies. There was a basic white robed enemy, a black robed torturer and a knight. I throwing knifed the basic enemy and engaged the torturer to a duel. Once he was down the achievement unlocked. Then die to the knight and reload so you don’t have a kill on this mission.
Immediately after the torturer area in Deliverance – Laboratories you are introduced to orcs. Simply create a clone and walk it up to a orc in a cell. The orc will reach through and grab it and achievement unlocked.
These all relate to finishing missions in specific ways. For the most part you want to try for no alerts, no kills for your first run. Then murder everyone to get them out of the way and search for those tokens.
These all will unlock at the ending stat screen for the missions.
This is for getting all the Relics in the game. Each mission contains one Relic. Under the Pause menu you can tab over to the Relic section and get a visual clue as to where the Relic is in the level.
This is fairly simple on any mission because you can save and reload as much as you want. Very easy during the Intro mission. Obviously if you are going for a no kill run then you get this since there were no bodies to be found. If you do have to kill someone just make sure to hid the body in any of the billion hiding spots that are everywhere.
You will need ALL of the available SP for this. 1330 SP to fully unlock the first 6 sets of skills. The Predator set unlocks by completing 2 complete sets of skills. This set contain 4 really powerful abilities but cost you another 990 SP. You must complete ALL side objectives and ALL Insignias for this. Every single point is required.
Check out our separate page for Insignia Video Guides right here: Insignia Guide: Styx: Master of Shadows
I did this on Mission 2, Master Key. Just don’t use any items. You can call your Clone, but don’t drink any Amber, don’t drink any Life, etc, etc.
There are 4 Insignias you can earn at the end of each mission. This includes Reminiscences, the intro. Shadow is for have no alerts triggered. Only RED alarms matter. You can go Yellow and Orange all you want. You can use a TON of saves and just reload if you get seen. If you miss it on the first playthrough of a mission when you replay in the pause menu you can see how many alerts you have set off. Only Human and Elf alarms matter and alarms for your clone don’t count against you. Although not mentioned, Clone alerts on The Creator and Renaissance count against you also.
The majority of the achievements in Defense Grid 2 are very simple and progression based. Meaning you just unlock them in time like kill 100 aliens and beating the story.
Play-through the campaign and you will be well on you way. Either way, just play the game and in time you will unlock it.
Play the first level of the game, or any level with at least 20 pieces to drop towers, and drop all guns or boosts in the 20 locations to unlock the achievement.
Complete all the levels in story mode. Simply play through and beat each level.
There are just three levels in the first chapter. Play all three of them and you will unlock it.
Play a mission in coordinated defense mode and complete a level with at least a bronze. By beating the level you will get the achievement because you will automatically get at-least a bronze.
Inferno towers shoot out flame throwers towards the aliens. Build a total of 100 to get the achievement.
When an alien makes it to your base, he tries to escape back out of the map with a core piece. Kill the alien and the core will return to the base. If you kill the alien within 10 second of him escaping you’ll get the achievement.
Press RB to fast forward the level. Keep it fast-forwarded for 60 seconds.
Kill 100 aliens, you will get this achievement at the end of the first level.
Kill 1000 aliens, you will get this after playing 5+ levels.
Seriously?
Don’t let a single alien take a core piece back for a whole level. Just play level one and block and upgrade the towers.
Build a total of 100 Tesla towers.
After building a tower, you can sell them away for a small amount of resource and to free up space. Do this 10 times in a single mission.
Build a total of 100 Cannon towers.
Build a total of 100 Gun tower.
After building a tower, you can sell them away for a small amount of resource and to free up space. Do this 10 times.
This is easiest to do in level 1. Simply place a tower that blocks the one path, making the alien trip much longer. And place towers surrounding the path for the aliens and take them all out without ever selling a tower.
Build a total of 100 Temporal towers.
On the main menu select Leaderboards. Then move over to Leaderboards and click until it shows Sheep Killed. You don’t even need to have scored on the leaderboard yet.
You get this for finishing any level with one of the Rewards active. The quickest is Designer Hat which you get as soon as you finish the first level. Just go into Rewards, activate it, then finish any level.
Quick and easy. Just finish the first three levels with any score.
Very easy on level 2 Counting Sheep. When you get to the last section place a 2 high blocking wall on the right. Then place a 2 high stairs just to the left so it locks all the sheep in a small space. Then release the 2 high wall to send a huge concentrated wave into the exit all at once.
On level 3 – Flock And Awe – You will need to blow a large wood block after getting jump and super. Hit two sheep with explode in a row right as they are about to jump down to the block of wood. They will hit their timer as they jump up the wood and both will explode in the air.
Level 3 – Flock And Awe – Use a 2 point start to lock all the sheep into the small middle right ledge with the sleeping sheep. Lock them in tight to the right wall. Then when all the sheep are ready (you should have around 30) release them and you will easily get 20 in the air at once.
First you need to unlock Zombie Sheep by killing 5000 other sheep. Then this is cumulative after that.
Using the bomb counts as 1. But any sheep catch in the blast count also. Same goes for the landmines. There is a landmine in level 3, Flock And Awe.
To unlock the Punk Sheep you need to impale 20 sheep within 1 second. Best place to do this is level 3 Flock and Awe. At the top section is a three pronged spike. Trap your sheep until the prong is almost to the top and then release to get 20 of them killed at once.
After you get the Punk Sheep (and make sure to select them in the Rewards screen) moshing is get 20 of them crushed at once. I did this in 6 – Lambdroid but anywhere you have a place to lock sheep up and then release them all at once towards a crushing obstacle will net you the achievement.
This is for using 10 different rewards. Both the skins and the blood color mods count. You can check the requirements for various skins and blood colors under the Rewards section on the Home Page.
There is 1 Golden Fleece per main level. Collecting it gives you a huge boost towards your points and is a requirement for a lot of achievements and for getting 3 stars on the levels.
You learn about this in level 4 – Sunday Lunch. This involves using a single block as a landing zone for sheep to fall on. I got 10 in this level so you can replay the level 10 times or work on this throughout the rest of the levels.
Three starring everything is not easy. Some levels require near perfection for a 3 star rating. Check out this playlist on our YouTube channel for 3 star level guides.
The first theme is the first 20 levels. The game is broken up into 3 themes of 20 levels each.
There are six bonus levels.
The first is found in level 4 – Sunday Lunch – and is almost impossible to miss. Allow the platform at the end to go down so you head into the warp behind the exit and you’ll walk through the secret level unlock on the way to the exit.
There are 60 main levels and 6 secret side missions to complete.
There are 6 boss levels and they are every 10 levels, 2 per theme. So you need to get to level 20 to see your second boss to get the achievement.
OVERALL GAME
From Chapter 3 on you have the ability to read minds. Hold LB and then select a available brain using the RB and you will get a little scene of what they are thinking about. You can check your progress by going to Chapter Select in the main menu and at the bottom of the screen in each chapter will show you X/Y completed. During any chapter if you hold down X to see the map anyone still a ? is someone whose mind you need to read. The agents do not count.
CHAPTER THREE
At the far right side of Chapter 3 there are 2 mobsters you need to get rid of. They will run off to the right. Follow them to the end of the pier and then hold down LB to find the 2 drowned skeletons under water Read both their minds and the achievement will unlock.
CHAPTER FIVE
About mid way through the level you will learn about decoy stickers. Grab the sticker from the lower agent and put it right on him. Immediately drop down and let him see you, then the other guard will see the first and a merry chase will ensue.
CHAPTER SIX
In the bottom middle there is a furnace area where the Fire is. Grab the Ducky here. Climb to the top middle before the main tower and there is a old lady. Give her the ducky and you will get the achievement.
On the middle roof there is a man who thinks he is cheese. If you read his mind you can grab the Mouse. Take this mouse to the right side to the lady with the cat. Showing up there with the mouse will make the lady drop the mouse. Read the cat’s mind once it is on the ground.
After a series of required events you will re-unite the ghost girl with the bunny. This sequence will knock out the guard named Harry. Then just read his mind after he is knocked out for the achievement.
Right after clearing the tunnel head to the right and there will be a large ambulance sticker to pull back. Read the minds of the 2 crew for the achievement.
The tower section is the middle tower above the roof. You can restart it at any time if you get seen by just getting captured and starting from the Mr Copy. Start in the bottom right and pull up to the right. Grab the ZZZs from the middle nurse and put her to sleep. Climb to the right and wait for her to wake up again. Then grab the new set of ZZZs and put the next nurse to sleep. Then simply climb the last section to get the achievement.
CHAPTER SEVEN
I’d go for this straight away. There are 2 main sections. Best to just watch the video.
Ron is in a tearaway Police station. You then need to go all the way around the level till you get past the second and last helicopter section get to the helicopter pilot talking to a woman. Tearaway that building and grab the Poster. This is what Ron wants.
Grab the screaming lips from the opera singer in the upper right. Put those lips on the megaphone of the helicopter screaming at his woman. This will drop the fish and the pelican will comes get it. Head back near the start to the giant billboard and mind read the fish in the bird’s belly.
CHAPTER NINE
Right at the start use Ted to read Ray’s mind. This is before you grab the first sticker.
In the bottom left there is a Elvis. Take his guitar. Middle bottom there is another Elvis. Trade Guitar for Singing. Then to the left of that is a chorus of zombies. Give one the mouth and then read his mind afterwards.
From the end of Unnatural Talent grab the hair and head up to the Yeti in the cell. Give her the hair and then follow them outside and read the Yeti’s mind.
On the right is a section with 5 enemies. Simply use the push pins to quickly move around the area until all 5 are chasing you. Achievement popped for me when I cleared the area.
OK. Get the chimney from above the worker right at the start. Give the chimney to Santa in the bottom right to get the Present. Give the present to the zombie near the beginning with the shotgun. After the scene you need to read both the woman’s and the zombie’s mind BEFORE you progress their story. If you use the glass you will need to re-start the chapter.
